22#Do you know this expression?

更新日:11月16日

気を抜く

「緊張していた状態から気持ちを緩める」

To relax one's attention / to lose focus

これまで順調に進んでいるが、最後まで気を抜かないようにしよう。

Its gone well this far but, lets not lose focus until the end of it.

気を紛らわす・紛らす

「気持ちをほかのことでごまかす」

To mask one feeling with another. / to distract or change the energy of a thing.

結果が気になるのはわかりますが散歩でもして気を紛らわしたらどうですか。

I understand your interested in the results but have a walk or something to mask that.

気を待たせる

「相手に期待させる」

To have expectations for another

付き合う気もないのに気を待たせるような態度を取るべきではない。

You don't have any intentions to date so, there should be no reason to have expectations with that type of attitude.

Hey! I make videos on Japanese and English expressions and I also make those meanings very clear to learners on my blog.

I’m very passionate about this so I want to share as much as I know or will know. By signing up there will be a link to a discord with people who want to language exchange in Japanese and English. There you will find the book for free to download. If you like the book please leave a review so I can make the next book even better. I appreciate the ones that do this and I’ll add those reviews to my latest video.
