手を入れる
「よい状態にするために修正したり、直したりする」
To fix or repair something back to good condition/ Make something more suitable
家が古くなっていたので、手を入れてきれいにした。
The house became old so I cleaned and fixed it up.
手を打つ
「問題に対する対策をする・対処する」
To make a plan/strategy to resolve something.
問題を早く発見できれば、その分だけ早く手を打つことができる。
If we can discover the problem quickly, we can build a plan to resolve that part of the problem.
手を引く
「関与をやめる」
To no longer participate anymore.
これ以上損害が大きくならないようちに手を引いたほうがいい。
To avoid any further damage It's best I sit this one out.

If you are having trouble reading the kanji in this post try this. Copy and paste the text into google translate to Japanese = English and look at the romaji ( the writings in English for the character) to get the accurate spelling for the character. If you’ve been studying Japanese for awhile you most likely have your keyboard set to switch between kana. Another thing you can do is take each character and put that through an online dictionary called Jisho.org. If you are actively studying Japanese this is the bread and butter of learning.
